My Goals, My Son’s Journey: Welcome to My Story

Motherhood, sacrifice, faith, and determination to keep moving forward.

Meet Michelle

My name is Michelle, and I am a single mother living in Boston who raised my son on my own.

Life has not always been easy. I struggled. I cried when I needed to. I faced some of the most difficult periods of my life. There were moments when the weight of doing everything on my own felt overwhelming, but somehow, I kept moving forward.

I know I am not alone in this experience. That is one of the reasons I want to share my story. My hope is to encourage and inspire others who may be living through their own struggles right now.

Looking back, I can honestly say that my journey has been shaped by responsibility, sacrifice, challenges, faith, and determination. Every hardship taught me something about myself. Through it all, I discovered a strength I did not always know I had.

I also learned that being strong does not mean never struggling or crying. Sometimes, strength simply means finding the courage to get back up and keep going.

Every chapter of my life has taught me something valuable. Most importantly, I have learned that progress does not require perfection. It requires faith, resilience, and the courage to keep moving forward, even when the road is difficult.

I am proud of how far I have come, grateful for the lessons that have strengthened me, and determined to keep building a better future for myself and my son.

When Responsibility Became My Teacher

As a young single mother, I quickly learned what it meant to carry many responsibilities at once. I was raising my son, working full-time, attending college, paying bills, and doing everything I could to move our lives forward.

Pursuing my goals was never just about me. Every decision I made affected my son, too.

Some days, I felt strong and confident. Other days, I felt exhausted, overwhelmed, and unsure of what to do next. But coming home and seeing my son’s beautiful face reminded me why I needed to keep going.

He was my reason.

Choosing a Better Future

I knew our financial situation needed to change, and I believed continuing my education could open the door to new opportunities and a better future for us.

Still, balancing motherhood, school, work, and finances was far from easy.

There was no manual telling me how to manage it all, and I certainly did not always get everything right. I made mistakes. I struggled. I worried. I prayed. And I learned.

Most importantly, I kept moving forward.

Over time, I learned that moving forward does not always mean taking huge steps. Sometimes, it means taking one small step when everything inside you wants to give up.

Why Share My Story?

Success stories often highlight the celebration without showing the challenges behind it. We see graduation, promotion, and happy moments. What we do not always see are:

  • The late nights spent studying.
  • The financial struggles and sacrifices
  • The difficult decisions
  • The moments of doubt that test our faith and determination

I want to share the whole journey, not just the finish line.

Because sometimes, the most meaningful part of a success story is not where someone ended up. It is everything they had to overcome to get there.

What You’ll Find Here

Through this blog, I’ll share honest experiences and lessons about:

  • Motherhood and family
  • Work and education.
  • Finances and setbacks
  • Faith and personal growth

This is a space for the challenges as well as the milestones, and for the lessons learned along the way.

This will be a space for the challenges as well as the milestones. I want to talk honestly about the difficult seasons, the victories, the mistakes, the lessons, and the moments that helped shape the woman I am today.

I do not have all the answers, and I am still learning and growing. This blog is not about having a perfect life. It is about sharing a real one.

A Reminder for Your Own Journey

If you are going through a difficult season in your life right now, I want you to remember this:

You do not need to have everything figured out.

It is okay to struggle.

It is okay to cry.

It is okay to make mistakes.

And it is okay if your journey looks different from someone else’s.

What matters is that you learn, get back up, and keep moving forward.

Sometimes progress will feel slow. Sometimes you may wonder whether you are making progress at all. But every step matters.

I know because I have lived it.

This is my story.

Welcome to my journey.
